Things You Should NOT Do After Applying a Ceramic Coating
-
Skip Automatic Car Washes
Avoid car washes that use abrasive brushes or harsh equipment, as they can damage the ceramic coating and leave scratches.
-
Say No to Harsh Chemicals
Don’t use wax, polish, or abrasive cleaners on the coated surface. These can degrade the coating’s effectiveness.
-
Remove Contaminants Immediately
Bird droppings, tree sap, and bug splatter should be cleaned off promptly to prevent etching or staining.
-
Always Use Clean Towels
Dirty or rough towels can scratch the coating. Stick to clean, soft microfiber towels for cleaning and drying.
-
Be Careful with Pressure Washers
Avoid using high-pressure water directly on the coating, especially during the curing period, as it can compromise the finish.
